Residents flee amid reports of terrorist rebels massing in jungle

KIDAPAWAN CITY — The residents of two barangays (villages) in Tulunan town, North Cotabato province, have fled their homes because of reports that Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels were massing nearby.

Tulunan Mayor Lani Candolada said at least 37 families composed of Christian settlers and members of the B’laan tribe left their homes in Barangays Kanibong and Maybula on Tuesday. more
