General Dolorfino files complaint against Moro Islamic Liberation Front over jailbreak

CWMC files complaint against MILF in Basilan

Zamboanga City (15 December) — Commander Western Mindanao Command LtGen Benjamin Mohammad D Dolorfino AFP filed the complaint before the Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (CCCH) for Violation of the Cessation of Hostilities against the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) members involved in the recent jail break incident that took place in Barangay Sumagdang in Isabela City, Basilan Province last 13 December 2009.

The complaint was filed against Commander Hadji Dan Laksaw Asnawi, Deputy Commander, 114th BC BIAF who faces murder charges and 4 others who were able to escape together with 25 other prisoners who are members of the ASG and lawless group.

Lt Colonel Gamal S Hayudini PAF, Commander of the 4th Civil Relations Group, Civil Relations Service AFP said the attack was deliberately planned by more or less 70 fully armed combined members of the MILF and ASG members to extricate Comdr Hadji Dan Laksaw ASNAWI and several others.

The military expressed concern on the escape of Commanders Dan Laksaw and Kamasa Limaya who remains at large after their escape, however, “the military and the police assures the public that they will bring back said fugitives to the hands of justice,” Hayudini stressed.

On the other hand, Dolorfino said that the jail break incident will not affect the government’s resumption of peace negotiation with MILF.

Furthermore, Dolorfino disclosed a reward list was placed up by the Anti-Terrorism Council for the jail breakers to wit Comd’r Laksaw has P2M on his head while P250.000.00 each of the following; Hapibin Saralung, Salim Masud, Potoy Kaluang, Madja Masid, Masirul Baliyung, and Teteng Mandangan while the remaining 24 criminals are placed with P200-P100 thousand each on their heads.

The military appeals to the public to support the manhunt conducted against the responsible persons in the jail break and help government authorities in its pursuit operations through support and information that will led to the capture of the escapees. (4CRG, CRSAFP/PIA9-BST)
