COTABATO CITY – To prevent any hostility from erupting, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), headed by Chairman Al-Hajji Murad Ebrahim, Sunday appealed to the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) to provide the new Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) contingent in Central Mindanao, particularly in the province of Maguindanao, with knowledge on the salient points of the Mindanao peace process.

Eid Kabalu, chief of the MILF Civil-Military Affairs, emphasized the importance of orienting new government troops in Maguindanao, where there is still a state of emergency, to prevent the breach of the July 23 and July 25 suspension of military offensive and action (SOMO/SOMA).
